IACBE Accreditation

The School of Management and the School of Economics at Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology have been awarded the status of Candidate for Accreditation by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) located at 11374 Strang Line Road in Lenexa, Kansas, USA. In granting candidacy status, the IACBE has determined that the business programs in the following degrees at the listed locations are eligible for accreditation:

•  Bachelor of Economics with a concentration in International Economics and Trade Guangzhou
•  Bachelor of Management with a concentration in Accounting Guangzhou
•  Bachelor of Management with a concentration in Business Administration Guangzhou
•  Bachelor of Management with a concentration in Marketing Guangzhou

The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) was founded in 1997 as a leading mission-driven and outcomes-based professional accreditation agency for business and management education in colleges and universities whose primary purpose is excellence in teaching and learning. The IACBE has hundreds of member institutions and campuses worldwide, and has accredited over 1,100 business and business-related programs in the United States, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Central America, and South America.

The three categories of IACBE membership are: Educational Member, Candidate for Accreditation and Accredited Member. In November 2013, Guangzhou College of South China University of Technology has been granted Educational Member and is the first Educational Member of IACBE in the People’s Republic of China; now as with candidacy status granted, it has been a historic step forward in the efforts of international accreditation.
